Welcome to India!

Last Saturday we came back from a three week trip in North India.

The trip started in Delhi, went on up to Dharamsala to pay a visit to my old friend Nicole and her beautiful daughter Miriam. After 5 days spent with them in the mountains, we left "Dhasa" for the largest state of the republic of India: Rajasthan.

Upon arrival at the train station, a driver picked us up and we headed for Agra (Taj Mahal), Bharatpur (Birds National Park), Ranthambore (Tiger National Park), Jaipur (Amber Fort), Udaipur (City Palace and much more), Jodhpur and finally reached Pushkar before heading back to Delhi to catch our flight...

The impressions left by this wonderful country are numerous and cannot be put into a few words on this blog. The poverty, the colours, the odours, the people and their friendliness, the contrasts, the nature and MUCH more convinced us of at least once thing: we have to go back and it'll have to be soon.

To be brief: we loved it all!

I've spent a part of the weekend scanning some pictures - most of them snapshots - that would give some kind of very modest overview of what we "saw" (read: lived)...
