The Year of the Ladybeetles...

I can't figure out why, but this year, the most common insect we've seen so far in Mainz was the Ladybeetle...

I had to notice them since Gabriel keeps catching them all the time...

Here are some shots of those cute little things... mostly from Asia as far as I know. The common European ladybeetle has almost completely disappeared from our environment...
